Shine - supporting children & young people with additional needs and their families

Our Nursery Staff

At Shine, our nursery staff are the heart of everything we do. They create the warm, nurturing and inclusive environment that helps children feel safe, valued and ready to learn. Every member of our team is dedicated, caring and professionally trained to support children with a wide range of needs.

Our nursery team includes qualified Early Years Practitioners from Level 2 up to Level 6, all bringing their own strengths, experience and passion to the setting. We believe in continuous development, so staff regularly take part in additional training to build their skills and stay up-to-date with best practice.

Training & Qualifications

Continuous professional development is at the heart of our approach, enabling our team to grow their expertise and deliver the highest standard of support, care and early education.

Core Child Development & SEND

Our core child development and SEND training ensures that staff have a deep understanding of how children learn, grow and develop, as well as the knowledge to support children with additional needs.

These qualifications cover early years development, inclusive practice, special educational needs, and health and social care. By combining theoretical understanding with practical experience, our team are equipped to identify individual needs early and provide the right support to help every child thrive.

Safety & Wellbeing

Ensuring the safety, wellbeing and protection of every child is at the heart of our practice. Our team are trained to respond confidently and responsibly in areas that support children’s physical and emotional welfare, including safeguarding, paediatric first aid and food hygiene.

With designated safeguarding leads on-site and robust procedures in place, families can feel reassured that their children are cared for in a safe, supportive and conscientious environment.
